Filco caps don't suck for everyone. I do, however, hate them.

by double shots you mean from signature plastics? or used cherry corp caps?

given that there is moogle kit group buy going on atm, you should go for cherry crop doubles :) for the shear thickness cherry corp doubles got.

PBT caps is also an option. Some prefer it over double shots, coz double shots use ABS plastic. Despite legends stay in place for a long time, the cap would still get shiny fairly quickly (like any other ABS keys). PBT on the other hand can retain the texture for much longer.

Even SP's PBT is better than their doubleshots, though there's no harm in getting the really nice THICK PBT from Imsto/KBC

My recommendation is to get Dyesub PBT from cherry (good luck on that), SP (group-buy?) or china/taiwan (your best bet?) as it will be your best option (in my optinion). OFcourse the legends on doubleshot ABS look nicer, they're not THAT much better, and the feel of PBT is usually much nicer than ABS. It also has roughly 6 times the wear resistance.

So where do you normally get your keycaps at vader?

Too bad all sp's doubleshots aren't as thick as the spherical keys. Those things are easily as thick as Cherry caps.

The GB forum. I think I've gotten almost all my keycaps there or included with a keyboard.

But ebay is your friend. Know what to look for and buy it. Some are expensive though.

If only Devlin accept custom order. Their keycaps are real thick, even for their DS black on black and white on white...

I thought Devlin did custom orders but they are super expensive.

They do have proper(not sure if DSA) profile POS keyboard with thick doubleshot keycaps.

I was under the impression that Devlin only had the capability to do doubleshots with flat keycaps? They do look nice though.

I saw the thick DS keycaps(with normal profile) on a huge POS keyboard from Devlin. Note that I mean the keycaps are DS doesn't mean the printing is DS(lol Devlin is making me like a Captain Obvious...)

Oh... Um... Hrmm... I'm a little confused about the doubleshotness of these. They do look thick, and they do have a stripey pattern, but it looks like it's just one type of plastic. Couldn't it just be due to a slightly funky mold?

Yar, like I said b4, Devlin is kind of Captain obvious. They go as far as making black on black, white on white, [insert color here] on [insert color here] DS keys which is thick but blank...

How do I know what keyboards to look for?  Ive been looking around and not really sure which cherrys have good double shots, what do you look for on ebay?
