Hey Guys,
i'm owning a filco tenkeyless and i absolutely love the sound, weight and solid feel like i'm actually typing on a thick piece of steel.
I would like to hear your opinion about WASD build quality and how the impression is compared to a filco. Does it feel just as massive? Just as compact? I know their quality is top notch, but how about those fine differences?
Thanks in advance, Bird.

Same oem, costar,, so, essentially the "exact - same" quality where it counts.
But here's what I don't like about the WASD,, the bezel,, Ugly,, loose fat feeling, compared to the filco.

The wasd feels very solid to type on. I love it. Just hate the size. It was my first mech and it is the standard i hold all my other boards to as far as typing goes.

Even if the WASD was better than the Filco, the Filco is Tenkeyless and of such high-quality that they're gonna be my choice for a long time.

What indication do you have that one is higher quality than the other??

I've only used a Filco, but according to my research the WASD is more solid feeling. It has a better cord, uses thicker plastic, and everything comes pre-greased and adjusted from the factory.
People who have both will tell you the WASD feels more deadened, with less resonance.

we need ripsters opinion!! RIP WHERE R YOU

Ripster, while a nice fellow, is in my opinion a bit biased in his keyboard reviews.

agree.
He is very knowledgeable about keyboard, but he is biased against anything that is not a Filco.

You shall have no other keyboards before Filco.

I'm typing on a Filco right now.
Filco TLK ninja Blue switch.
I also have the wristrest. I have to admit it feel nicer than I expected. I just think Filco is overpriced.

Wise words brother ripster. Thanks guys for your opinions!

I'm using my WASD with blues right now and it feels great. It's very solid, and after a few months of use ping is unheard of. Every keystroke is very smooth.
I haven't had the opportunity to test it against anything else, however, because I've not been able to afford any more mech boards. Besides that, I'm happy enough with the WASD that I could just use it for several years.

No, I never said that. I have heard word of mouth say that one's better but the Filco is good enough for me. If WASD comes out with a TKL then maybe I would check them out.

My WASD feels nothing short of amazing. WASD is coming out with a TKL 4th quarter of this year. Needless to say but I already have money set aside for a WASD TKL with reds/blacks (I'm typing on a WASD with browns)

That's when I plan on picking up a WASD, and plan on going bananas with custom etched caps. Until then, Filco and Unicomp will do just fine.
