Looking for 100 green Cherry MX stems
-
Why just stems? I was under the impression that green is blue with a different spring. Kind of silly going nuts for 100 rather rare stems when you aren't going to see them under your keycaps.
-
May be cheaper to get a blue and black donar board mate.
-
Blue stems are the same and a LOT easier to find.
-
Yeah, you can make ghetto greens using blue stems and black springs.
-
I just did a board with ghetto greens... I wouldn't do it again. I converted it to linear + blue springs and I don't think I want to buy another keyboard with blues again.

What was wrong with them? I did it to my letters and so far, I love the extra resistance compared to just blue switches.

Personal preference I guess. It probably has to do with PCB vs plate mounting -- I could see liking heavier springs on my Leopold but my poker feels too weird with ghetto greens. Plus I don't bottom out as much on a linear board as I do on a tactile board.
Basically... was trying to get closer to Model M which is what I started on, but found that I actually like pretty lightweight linear switches more than clicky/tactile. smoooooooooooooooooth.

Ah yeah that makes sense. I've been bottoming out for days since the mod but I will get used to it eventually. I found the blue switches were way too easy to press down and I made plenty of typos because of that.
