Title: Topre Switch Tester -- US Spring Tour

True to his name, BossBorot has been a total boss and made a Topre switch tester numpad!  Due to my experience with my Cherry switch tester (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?23914), he has asked me to administer the first tour.

He would like to have it back by the end of May, so I'm limiting the first round to 10 spots in the continental US.

Post in the thread if you are interested.

The rules:

1. Obviously, treat the tester carefully so it can last a long time
2. Keep it a maximum of two days
3. Ship promptly via USPS small flat rate box ($6 with tracking number)
4. PM the tracking number to me after you ship (I will post it in the OP)
5. Post your thoughts in the thread
6. (optional) Take a fun picture of the numpad and post it for us to enjoy (see examples in the OP of the Cherry tester thread (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?23914))

As far as the switch weighting goes my preference is by far 45 and then 55. I didn't really like the lower weighted switches and thought they felt too mushy and much less tactile.

My impressions of Topres...Holy hell they are some heavy switches.  Every single switch felt heavier than a cherry mx red switch, this is even true for the 30g topre switch.  55g topres were my favorite though it felt almost sluggish.  Maybe the bounce back of the switch after actuation is slower than a cherry switch?  Topres are suprisingly mushy, very analgous to rubber domes.  Cherry switches are still my favorite switch.

The three I use the most are the red Leopold, the blue Rosewill, and the Realforce.

I just got a 45g 87U, and I expect it will largely replace my variable 86U.

Not really, no.  I like both of them a lot.  If I really had to choose just one favorite switch it would probably be blues.

Ah, I forgot to update the thread.  Akimbo sent it out but due to a USPS mishap they delivered it back to him.  He's sent it again, tracking number 0311 2550 0000 5816 9824.

Welcome to the West Palm Beach post office.  Do you like how they had to process it 3 times before they shipped it off to the next post office?

For some reason the tracking number I got from USPS doesn't seem to be working. I'll check up on that later. Either way, I sent the tester off to f4d3 yesterday.

I think someone must have put a USPS curse on the topre tester.
