Title: Some of my keys is not working, Razer BW
Post by: olle0047 on Fri, 06 April 2012, 06:07:39
Hi! i got a razer black widow, not the ultimate version. Suddenly three buttons has become unstable, it's e and 0 (numpad) plus a norwegian spcial letter.
Sometimes they work great, most of the time they are dead.

I have no exprience with mechanical keyboards, but i am schooled in electronics. Anyone know what i can do to try to fix it?

Thanks
Ole

Basically the black widow suffers from a high defect rate. There is nothing you can do besides buying another keyboard.

I recommend the cm quickfire.

Looks like some mechanical problem. There were several threads here and few wiki articles about repairing cherries, search for them.

Or RMA it and buy an IBM.

Ripster's wiki is the best place to check if you want to try to fix this your self, the wiki is on the top left there.  You can probably fix this your self if you are good at soldering.   I would recommend trying to rma it or return it.  Unless you want the back lighting, leopold and the cm storm can offer the same switch with great quality.
