Title: MX Clear or Mx Green Keyboard
Post by: 1391401 on Sat, 07 April 2012, 23:29:33
Any form factor (TLK or Full), preferably full.  I know about Deck but I'm not a big fan.  I know green would have to be retrofitted or 'ghetto' but still interested.

there are a few leopold clears running around, but ghetto greens are your only green option until all the phantom parts come in.

you might want to PM theProfosist though. he will do switch swapping for hire.

I'm considering making another ghetto green board, though it depends on if I feel like going for another marathon soldering session.

Thanks for the info - I would attempt some of this myself but every time I do a DIY project involving "real" objects it always ends up being an exercise in reinforcing why I am a programmer and not something like a mason/welder/metal fab etc haha

I was actually able to nab a clear leo a week or so ago and I'm hooked!

I'll have a ton of green switches to put in something once they come in. I was thinking about reselling them, because I don't know if I want to dissemble all the switches in my G80-3000. I'm not very good at getting the housings off. I could probably solder them into a board. I just noticed you got some clears, but let me know if you're interested anyways.

Bump - still looking for another mx clear board and entertaining mx green board although I know it'll never happen

Quarzac - How much are we talking here ea. on these switches?  I have a friend who has the hands of a surgeon and is an expert at soldering....

One of my phantoms will have green switches.
I will build up three phantoms in total and keep the one or two I like best.
Perhaps the green one will remain...

Lol I so associate with this!

masons of stuff that can be changed at no physical loss...

Good luck though!
