Title: ESXi & Vmware
Post by: Vyr1s on Wed, 11 April 2012, 12:11:31
Anyone out there with experience running ESXi?

I am trying to add new HDDs to my ESXi 4.0 box and it is giving me grief.

I do not nothing about this particular software, since I use virtualbox and qemu. But it will be good if you add to your post the target and host OS as well as there version.
Most of this virtualization software requires to install some extra utilities (target dependent) in order to enable some features

Yeah, what is your question?  What exactly is giving you grief?  Is this a local storage array(SAS/SATA/etc), or remote storage(iSCSI/NFS)?  Are you trying to expand existing space, or create new space?  Are you having trouble with a raid controller?  You'll need to be more specific.
