Hi everyone,
I just bought a (dusty) IBM 1394312 on ebay, took it apart, cleaned it and reassembled it. I took some pictures, which I'd like to share with you. :)
The Keyboard is a Terminal-Keyboard for AS400, the seller sold it as "for IBM-Terminal 3477 and 3487". The US equivalent seems to be the IBM Model M 1395660 (Source #1 (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?12543-What-IBM-Keyboard-is-that&highlight=1394312) #2 (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?27423-IBM-Model-M-1395660))
The keyboard has a round DIN-Plug:

It was a bit dusty and dirty when it arrived:

Removed the cover:

The number on the metal plate is: 1394338

The PCB has the number: 1394523

All Keys removed (they consist out of two pieces): I wonder what this safety wire at the spacebar is for?

Then I washed the keys, the case and removed the dust from the metalplate:

Completely reassembled:

On a old picture of the keyboard I found on the net:

Thanks for reading.

Best first post ever just because of all of the pictures.

Pure curiosity but... Is it possible to use these membranes with a regular Model M PCB?
-
each model has a specific membrane and controller associated with it. 122 membranes will not work with 101 controllers because the matrix is different (20x8 vs 16x8). also, 101 terminal and 101 ps2 use different routes on the membranes, so not all 101 membranes work with all 101 controllers.

Seconded. Can I use a few in the wiki?
Yes, of course. I don't claim any rights on this pictures - feel free to use. Well the picture with the terminal wasn't taken by me... I will provide them in higher resolution if necessary.
