Yeah, MX reds were a limited edition for awhile and cost nearly $200-250.

This means they'll start becoming more widely available.

Bruce makes 2, squarebox makes 3, and another distributor makes 4. I know it was coming. I am just posting it here because it is officially on the Filco's page.

I believe Brian at EK deserves some props for pushing Filco to make a board with the MX red switches to begin with.

EK was one of the first that brought Filcos to the US but they switched to Leopold last year. Keyboardco sells domestically on Amazon to avoid the high shipping fees and easier US distribution but you're somewhat limited.

In my ideal world, EK would start selling Filcos again.

I thought there wasn't a difference between the CM Storm keyboard and the Filco. The Quickfire also comes with a detachable cable. Why would you sell it to rebuy the Filco? I guess the Filco one looks better (non-excessive branding)?

One more thing, a company is advertising these having lasered keys. Multicam was the last board that had lasered key, despite ripster claiming to the contrary. There are several laser techniques, laser lightening, laser engraving, and laser foaming. I think the Multicam was laser foaming. This would explain the very uneven and tough texture of the raised lettering.

In the link you posted, Army Group is also advertising them with lasered keys. Maybe they are lasered?

Paid a very reasonable $150 plus shipping, and no, I wouldn't have paid a penny more, knowing that they'll likely be $139 or $149 in a month or two from various sellers.

Yes, it was worth every penny. My other keyboard is a much-loved Deck Legend with Cherry MX Black keys. The Filco is much easier to type on, but the difference isn't as earth-shattering as many have made it sound. Yes, the Deck's Blacks did fatigue me while typing over long periods, so that's why I got the Filco's Reds. I still consider the Deck Legend to be the finest LED backlit keyboard in existence, especially for its tough-as-nails PBT keys which have not shown a bit of wear in years of use and also for the extra circuitry that remembers the selected brightness level even when the keyboard is unplugged. If the Legend came with Browns or Reds, it would be the only keyboard I would ever buy or recommend.

Not sure how to feel about the Red Cloud of Boobs Ninja.

I had the brown tenkeyless, sold it for the Limited Edition Red TenKeyLess, sold that to get the Ninja Browns Tenkeyless, loved the ninja the most and thought that I liked the browns more (more resistance than the reds) but to be honest, all I ever tried was the Browns extended and Reds briefly, can't say I would like one or the other more. Might just prefer a brown Ninja Tenkeyless.

Was thinking perhaps a Brown Ninja full board for typing, and a red ninja tenkeyless for gaming, so I can have some options. Black color on both of course.

I dunno. Don't even own a filco anymore, but I've typed on them both. Didn't really remember much difference except that the browns had a slightly scratchy feel due to the tactical bump, and the reds really were a cloud of boobs with a slightly lighter touch. Watching amazon like a hawk.
