Red switch board is down to 99.99 retail before the coupon.

Are they good quality, is it worth $80?

Quality is fine, $80 is a great find. However I see them on sale a lot.

They are Costar built boards very similar to Filco. There were some issues in early models and some people manage to break the USB connector 'too easily' but most situations turn out to be accidental abuse.

Thanks. I canceled my WASD back-order and ordered a black switch Rosewill via this deal. $80 shipped.
Edit: I got frightened away by all the posts I found about stuck keys and the min-ports coming lose that I cancelled the order and re-ordered the WASD. The WASD will be $52 more shipped but I have a better feeling about it and the WASD company.

Yep, the discount code works on Blue and Brown and Red as far as I have tried, but doesn't work on the Black.
These are good keyboards. Buy them and let them know we like their mechanical keyboard line.

I would be a little leery of the reviews. Don't cancel an order based on a review. Since Newegg has a great return policy you should order the keyboard and see for yourself.

I agree on reviews - if just a few - but I saw so many on Newegg across all the RK-9000 line and there are even messages on geekhack about the mini port coming lose inside the keyboard.
All reviews on WASD are good and it seems as though it would be easier to work with them if there was a problem, so while I would rather not pay $50 more, I feel better about WASD.

Oops, the discount code won't work on MX Black keyboard for some reason. Still a great deal.

It did for me on a black switch one - order went through etc. but then I canceled but discount even shows on the cancellation. Maybe Newegg sold too many (it was limited on how many Newegg sold.)

I've had no issues on my Rosewill with blues. I did grease the spacebar after a while (little squeak, and resolved). I thought it was good build quality, nice looking, great price for the keyboard. All things considered though, I'd rather go with WASD, even though I haven't bought a keyboard from them yet (waiting for the tenkeyless).
So, yes, personally I've had great luck with the Rosewill, like it a lot, but if the price is close or not an issue, I'd go with WASD (based on everything I've seen here in geekhack, their website, their vendor forum here, etc.).

That sums-up how I feel. I want a keyboard that I can use for 5+ years, hopefully more, and the WASD seems it has that potential.
