Title: Easy o-ring question
Post by: tehsprayer on Tue, 17 April 2012, 17:58:25
For keys like the spacebar, enter, tab etc. do you put like 3 o-rings on the spacebar or what is the normal setup and if so how many o-rings do i need for an 87 key keyboard?

I just put an O-ring on the center, where the switch is.

For the keys that I don't use often or at all, I don't put O-rings on them.  My TKL probably has only 70 keys with O-rings installed.

Just on the actual switches. I haven't tried, but I don't think o-rings would work that well with either Costar or Cherry stabilizers.

Costar stabilzers only have one place that o-ring can fit.

The o-rings go on the keycaps, so they can fit on whatever. They obviously wouldn't do a thing with Costar stabilizers though.

They work the same way with costar stabilizers. The dampening only occurs over the switch itself, because that's the only place bottoming out occurs.
