Hello!
Does anyone know where I could buy golden or metallic keycaps? Would be cool to have a metallic esc-key ;)

Feng sells zinc caps. Gold and Silver
-
I am actually thinking of buying from Feng as well.
Would the gold/silver coating ever peel off?
I wanted the shiny ones, but sadly has print on it. :(

Ask on the order thread :P
-
The gold and silver won't peel off, its not a sticker, its real gold electroplated on . The printing, however, is. But that's not a problem. The key looks great.

Congratulation ripster, that's 2$50 less than if you went threw the group buy !
Also, the seller is actually feng x)

Thank you everyone! Just ordered from Feng =)
Although I haven't bought my filco keyboard yet.. still deciding if I should go with our without tenkeyless >.<
-
If you don't know, you usually don't need the tenkey on a regular basis. And you can still order a separate numpad for 10 bucks later on.
-
The ones I bought off eBay had the gold wear off almost immediately. Watch out.
-
ohh.. thanks =)
Just got my button but waiting for my filco TKL :(
Will get it in a day or so I hope..

I bought some gold plated zinc keycaps on eBay. Coating started to come off in a matter of days :(

It's electroplated, and likely only a few microns thick. It depends on the metal and your body chemistry, but I believe it. That's why I'd go with silver: If it's not plated, when it wears, it'll still look good.
