For those geekhackers who are anti-facebook, I'll do my best to post any major updates here as well.

Many of you were asking about CM's Mac compatibility (rapids and pro).
Response direct from Cooler Master:
"While our keyboards will plug and play with MAC’s. Some feature sets are specifically coded for the Windows OS. N-keyrollover through USB is a coded firmware specifically to correct a limiting factor in the Windows Operating system. Due to MAC OSX differences in coding, our Quickfire Pro and Rapid are both limited to 6 key rollover on the MAC platform. "

MY QF rapid does not support more than 6KRO over USB in windows. Are you sure they weren't talking about the QF trigger and pro?
Thanks for keeping us non-facebookers up to date. That's very useful to me.

I asked about both and that's the exact answer I received. Could NKRO require perhaps a firmware update?

CM QuickFire Red Switch IS Black on Red!
CM originally instructed us to use the same pics for all Rapids (grey frame). However, our Red Cherry MX switch version is, indeed, the black (keys / frame) on red (pcb board) model.

Deck now available on MechanicalKeyboards.com!
All use Double Shot keys and 2 have Cherry MX Clears!

Deck's keycaps are hard to place. Technically, one could consider them double shot, but I feel it's better to emphasize that they are primarily PBT. The actual surface you hit with your finger is PBT, only the "skirt" is ABS. I believe they are dyesub PBT, which is pretty excellent, with much better wear resistance than ABS. Also, only in very rare circumstances do I prefer the texture of ABS over PBT: it's really the best.
I'm impressed with how fast you are adding inventory.
Also the box of the CMstorm QF rapid in Red shows the gray keyboard of the other styles, at least on mine.
Speaking of which, I got out my new CMstorm QF rapid (blue) and it also has 6 key rollover. Maybe only the very newest ones are NKRO over USB?

I'm checking with TG3 on their key cap breakdown / classification.
We actually had begun negotiations prior to site launch for much of the recently added inventory. We're just now getting them in. Everyone here knows how 'on time' mechanical keyboards usually are... Expect more to come :)
Re: CM - Maybe it requires a firmware update to accomplish NKRO? That's all I could come up with based on their response. I'm fixing to downgrade it if I don't hear otherwise quite soon.
Hey ShakeR, any update on the Ducky Blank PBT's? (I know it was #3 on your list :)
Yes! We found them! Crap, I need to get these posted... Thanks for the reminder :)
edit: Planks now posted - http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=98

Haha - I just realized I posted 'Planks' instead of 'Blanks'.
Update from CM -----
Re: Cooler Master Rapid NKRO: "NKRO through USB is a feature only for Pro. In order to achieve this function in Rapid Edition they need to use PS/2 connector."
-
I assumed you were trying to start a new TKL thing.
Ha! PBT + Blanks = 'Planks' I think you're on to something. It must have been subconscious because the P is no where near the B key :)

Sorry for taking so long to respond to this. I think I did and it was rolled back. Only the CM 'Pros' have KNRO over USB. Rapids are 6KRO USB only.

Just posted 22 pics from Computex on our Facebook page. Should have more coming soon as well. We'll probably post them on our site tomorrow as well for those who can't view them on FB.

Awesome pics, the Ducky ones took my breath away. :tongue1:

I thought I took pics of the Rosewill booth, but couldn't find them. I have the brochure and will scan / post later. The back lit Rosewills are the only ones close, but no one can even touch the Ducky Shines in terms of back light quality. If you want a back lit board, buy a Ducky. I can't wait for the Shine II!
Unfortunately, there's a Cherry Switch shortage that is going to affect just about every keyboard displayed at the show... The wait may be longer than we want.
-
Whoa, a switch shortage? How long has this been going on and why?

Yeah, this was probably the wrong thread for me to drop this bomb... I'll start a new one in a bit with details.

For those waiting on Blue LED / White LED Brown MX Shine IIs...
If you have ever considered another color, we just restocked Browns on what I consider to be the most underrated / overlooked color on the Shine IIs: Green. When I first heard Ducky was making Green LED Shines (back when Red and Blue were the only options), I thought bleh... Green... However, when they came in, I was blown away. The Green LED Ducky Shines simply look amazing.
I'm confident we'll have Blue / White LED Brown MX Shines at some point (probably months away), but if the wait is too much to bear, I highly recommend:

Incoming stock updated! New order added and some ETA dates adjusted.
http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/incoming.php
Please accept our apologies on this latest batch of incoming shipments as ETAs have been all over the place and keep getting pushed back. We've had everything from new shipping carriers to backed up production schedules slow these down. We hope to mark them 'arrived' soon.
-
I see you are getting the Ducky keyboards with the sublime keycaps, are you going to be selling those separately?
edit: Just found out that you will only be able to get those keycaps if you purchase one of the keyboards.

We're giving away some Keycool Keycap sets on Facebook for those who may be interested :)
