Title: KSI POS Keyboard
Post by: All The Fire on Wed, 25 April 2012, 21:05:02
I went into Medibank Private two days ago and I couldn't help noticing the keyboard the clerk was using. I'm almost positive it was one of these.

I had a little go typing on it as I had to change the password of my online account, and it felt really nice, had some tactility to it, no excessive clicking like the blues and I couldn't hear any loud metallic springs or ringing I imagine you would hear from buckling springs, it also didn't seems as loud as I imagine a buckling spring would have been. Looking at the PDF brochure on that page it just quotes the switch type as mechanical, it didn't feel like any cherry switch I've tried. I came across this thread (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?15149-Key-Source-International-Wombat-POS-Keyboards-%28KSI-1293%29) but this one being a different model and I know for sure it didn't have cherry black switches. So maybe clear switches? If so I'm again interested in getting myself a keyboard with clear switches.

Anyone know?
