Title: 2 x IBM keyboard badges- prefer blue IBM if possible
Post by: mr626 on Sun, 29 April 2012, 19:23:01
Hi all,

I now own a Unicomp Wildcat keyboard. I'm in the process of de-wildcating the board (that is, removing the Wildcat logos etc) and it would be great to replace the Wildcat logo with a proper IBM one.

A blue IBM one would be ideal, but I'll take whatever you have. In fact, I wouldn't mind getting two if you have them (the other will be for my Lexmark-branded 122 key board that's in the mail).

Note my location (not that sending keyboard badges should be expensive).

Can anyone help out?

Thanks

Yup, I'm aware of that. I'm hoping that someone on here has some spare from when they did sell them, or they got them from somewhere else.

Nice job, that looks pretty good.

Thanks for the offer. I think if I have no other option I an always order one of those IBM Thinkpad stickers from ebay and remove the thinkpad bit. Not as authentic, but it would probably do.

Can proxy for you if you need it.

I know they are quite what you asked for - but kinda fun.

Those old school IBM ones hoggy posted would work (thanks for the offer of proxy too) but I think I'd prefer slightly 'newer' badges if possible (these are after all Lexmark-made boards that were made in the 1990s, I don't know if I'd feel right putting badges from 1981 on them!). Good suggestion though, thanks.

IBM also made pill badges BTW, just the blue IBM bagde blue color was darker blue than the Lexmark made.
