So I have a Cherry G80-3000 with MX blue switches. I decided I wanted to play around with brown switches, but I didn't really have the money to buy another keyboard since I already have MX blues and MX black (CM Storm QFR) keyboards. So instead of spending money on a new keyboard, I just changed the switches on my G80-3000 and I wanted to share with you guys the process of changing the switches.

In total the whole process took me less than an hour....here you see that I didn't change the green switch on the spacebar. I eventually changed it to a black switch to kinda match with the set of browns. After a couple of days of using brown switches I changed them all back to blue switches LOL.

Where did you get the brown switches from? Did you buy them?

People sell/trade stems and springs all the time here in the classifieds section. No need to pay for whole switch this way, much cheaper as most sell for about $.10 each.

I have my brown switches stored away. There might come a time when I would feel like I want to change to brown switches again some time in the future =P I bought switches in Taiwan for 10NTD each.
