Sorry to disappoint.  No more rollbacks in the near future.  Flaky hardware has been pulled out.  Took two 12-hour round trips, a hotel stay, and a good chunk of $$$...but the end result is a stable and happy GH.

I hope you're right iMav, for all our sakes!  As always, thank you for all your devotion to keeping this BBS running.

Sorry about the snide comments in the myriad threads where I had expended effort into sharing over the past month, yet found nary a bit of my content extant after the several rollbacks.  I was very frustrated to find, yet again, despite promises of stability, another rollback.  I have to imagine that all of this has been at least as frustrating to iMav.  

For my part, I would suggest that perhaps there could be a stickied thread where we can ALL vent, and share our frustrations in an environment of compassion and sympathy, so as not to pollute the rest of the forum... and maybe an announcement popup that would apprise us of what happened, so we KNOW, rather than finding out unceremoniously by discovering messages/threads gone missing and people polluting threads willy nilly?  Just some thoughts.  For now, I have vented enough.  I hope that geekhack is stable, and that this will all be moot.

I still think that geekhack needs a theme song.  Now that iMav is *super double dog extra certain* that all is stable, we can toss the ROLLBACK concept, but surely we can come up with something....  Where is KL with his synth?   or, are we just content to live in the past?

Sounds expensive,  not cheaper to get a managed service than put so much of your own time in?
