Title: Keyboard has some cherry switches going in the wrong direction.
Post by: mcgci5450 on Tue, 15 May 2012, 19:34:16
I have been using my keyboard for a month or 2 now and out of curiosity I decided to take some of the keys off and generally look more into the way the keyboard was built. It is an ozone strike which I am told is just a clone of the tt meka g1 and is of iffy quality. It seems to work great to me but I have nothing to compare it to but cheap rubber dome keyboards. My question is if anyone else has taken the keycaps off of their keyboard and seen cherry switches going in the wrong direction (ex. the left alt cherry switch has the cherry writing rotated to the right side and the ozone modifier switch is upside down). I don't feel like it effects the way the keyboard works but it seems like poor quality control. What I am talking about should be fairly obvious but I can post pictures tomorrow if anyone wants to see them.

that is the direction those switches are supposed to be mounted, probably for pcb layout reasons.

Oh, ok so that is normal, good now it won't bother me like it was before.

Who told you the last part? It's no worse than other Costar boards.

Oops, my bad. I was reading a review of it and it was appearance being talked about, not quality.
