Hi guys,
I recently released my game, Rune Raiders, for Windows. It's 5 bucks, but I set up 1000 coupon codes to make it free, and I'm posting this on GH before anywhere else :)
You can get the game at http://www.retro64.com (http://www.retro64.com)
-Select the Windows version and use code CCMV000OT at checkout, and payment info will be removed from the form and it will be free.
-I limited it to 1000 uses of that code, so feel free to spread to OCN, Slickdeals or anywhere if you think it's a good deal.
-100% of this game was coded on either Buckling Spring or Cherry Blues!
-
Thanks for the share, I don't know if I'll play it though :3
(I didn't really read it the first time, I am going to play it, now that I know who made it)
-
Thank you it looks very cool. Could you tell us some stories behind the game?
-
Sure.
-This is my first game after being at PopCap for the last 4 years.
-It was made in a language called Haxe, which lets me deploy to a number of platforms.
-The first to go out was the iOS version, where it reached #1 for RPG on the iPad, despite not really being that much of an RPG.
-We're just a team of two right now, I handle design and coding, and the other guy does the art.
-
very interesting :-). BTW Congratulations . For how long have you been using Haxe?
-

Thank you and your teammate for the game.
Also, nice story. I must say that I've worked and I'm still working on some PopCap games myself. (Mostly IFE ports and more recently Android versions). Nothing big, just debug them and see so they run on the crappy consoles that airlines have.
Crap, I've said too much! Now they'll go after me. >_<

My only qualm is that it requires a lot of personal information to download. Feel free to call me sometime, missle mike :p
I've downloaded it, and will play after work. Thanks!
-
You can fake the personal info, just not the e-mail :)
I have been using Haxe for about a year, Cactux....

MissileMike, I played it for about an hour. Its very fun. I doubt ill play it again on the PC, but I think it would be great on my ipad/iphone.
I did see something weird, when gold spawned on top of a treasure chest it did this crazy flicker thing.
