I pretty much can't stand Klout. I don't tweet to influence people. Also the fact that people have been denied job positions due to not having enough Klout points.

Seriously? Im on klout. I would never hire a dev based on their klout. Id put it into consideration with a community manager position, but never make it a deciding factor.

Klout is a glorified ****-waving competition utilized by talentless people in the tech industry (SEO "experts", bloggers, etc). Anyone who hires, fires or even intends on using Klout as a tool to assess themselves or others, is pretty much just a lazy way of getting out of doing real interviews/screenings.

It's hard to take something that rhymes with "clout" very seriously when the president of the greatest nation on Earth, who is not technologically challenged (like most of his predecessors) has a score of what? something in the 60% range?

I don't Tweet or Facebook, and I was not even allowed to check my score unless I created an account with them and logged in.

What a crock.

To be fair, it does measure your influence across Twitter and Facebook, so it really isn't much use for those who don't do either.
