So I'm about ready to pull the trigger on my first mechanical keyboard. I've decided on a WASD Semi-custom, but I don't know which switches I want.
I absolutely adore the sound that Blue switches make, and I have typed on a keyboard with them before. I haven't had the chance to game with them, however. Would I be fine using them for FPS gaming? Or should I go with Browns?

I usually use my reds board for gaming, but have played on my blues also. Just mind the switch reset (let go of it as fast as possible before press again) and it is no problem. You will get used to it as you would need to get acclimated with the feel of any switch you choose anyway.

I don't play FPS games, but i think that blues are fine for gaming. I've never noticed the "double tapping issue" that some people have brought up when i use blues.

Alright, I think I'll jump for the Blues, then. I figure I can always sell/trade it off if I don't like it.

I use blues for gaming and clears for typing

I've seen people saying that they're fine with blues for gaming - but has anyone used blue for buttonmashing-intensive FPS' like Quake(III/Live/4) and maybe TF2?

I use blues for competitive SC2 and it's fine. No double tapping issues.

I also use Blues (CM Storm Quickfire) for gaming mostly FPS games and seem to do fine.
