Title: My DIY Digital Photo Frame
Post by: tadbitnerdy on Thu, 24 May 2012, 08:44:55
My wife decided she no longer needed her Asus eeepc 701 4g.  So, I turned it into a digital photo frame!

Running Ubuntu 12.04, gThumb is slideshow on start up from a 4gig SD card.  The frame is built from a carpet reducer strip we had left over from a wood flooring install.

The girl in the picture is my daughter.

Not really.  It would have been a few years ago.  However, now on eBay you can pick one of these up for the cost of a digital photo frame.  This way I don't have to spend an extra $50-$100 dollars on a frame, and this was WAY more fun :)
