Title: Looking for a ps2 single key keyboard - prefferably SPACEBAR :-)
Post by: BucklingSpring on Sat, 26 May 2012, 07:54:16
I'm too lazy to search this morning....

I'm looking for a ps2 single key keyboard - preferably SPACEBAR :-)
Anyone knows if such a keyboard exist?

I just installed a KVM and it's USB based, now I can't switch the computers ON with the keyboard anymore.

A smart alternative would be to extend the motherboard power switch... But it would be off topic for this forum :-)

Something similar to this joke

You could cut down a barrel plate, and come up with a small membrane yourself (using a conductive pen and some plastic) and make a teensy-powered single key BS "keyboard" It'd put all those topre-keychains to shame :p

'course if it's a motherboard switch, you can just skip the teensy and solder leads to it.

That said, I don't know of any keyboards that have been made with less than ~12 keys. I believe there were small keypads on ebay once, one of those might work. Cherry blacks if I recall correctly. Here's the forum topic about it:

Watch your ass.  New regime.  I predict your buddy picks up an infraction first.

Believe it or not, this thread was not with trolling in mind.
