Still need to pay shipping. A CM Storm QuickFire Rapid with MX Red came out to $83.03 after shipping for me.

This sucks, I just ordered mine Friday. I knew I should have waited.

This is a great find, indeed. I much prefer the black/red case/plate of the red to the gunmetal/black of the other switch types. If they let us use these at work, I'd sell a keyboard, buy this, and type on something nice. Maybe I should raise concerns about bottoming out RD's and RSI...
Sorry to hear about that, rafen. Maybe you can email the seller and get a discount?
-
Ordered the Quickfire Rapid with reds...price was the best I've seen yet. Been wishing for more space for my mouse while playing BF3.
I'll just use my Rosewill with reds for my classroom keyboard...I'll have the nicest keyboard in the building by as longshot! Not that it would give me any cred with the students

Thanks for the link, got me to purchase my first mechanical keyboard.
-
Welcome to GH! A good choice, there: I have two Cmstorms. What switch type did you decide on?
-
Thanks, I went with the reds.
-
I'm not seeing the storms on the site? Seeing quickfires.
-
Here is the link to the red (http://www.cmstore-usa.com/quickfire-rapid-mechanical-gaming-keyboard-red-switch/).

CM Storm is the brand...QuickFire Rapid is the model...
-
IIRC, CM Storm I think is the brand for all the gaming peripherals, QuickFire for the line of cherry switch keyboards (http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/category.php?category_by=1&category_id=1721&category_name=CM%20Storm%20QuickFire).

Really nice deal...

Oh, I though that the Quickfire was the 104 Key and the CM Storm was the 87. No idea where I got that from.
EDIT: Wait does that mean that CM doesn't make an 87 key mech board?

From their product info from the link above, looks like the CM Storm QuickFire Rapid is 87 key TKL and the CM Storm QuickFire Pro is 104 key.

only a real pro uses tenkey, i guess.
Thanks for straightening that out.
-
And quick(fire) typists use tenkeyless...
-
This is going to be my second CM Storm Rapid. I got the blue a while back for only $64 shipped. You can't beat that. Picked up a red one with this deal.
-
Damn it, I just bought two Rosewills (red and blue) for $64 each. I wish I would have bought one Rosewill with blues and then one of these with reds.
-
Sure but I don't think the price on these right now is $64.
What I saw was $89.99 (reds) - 20% or $72 plus minimum $11 shipping so $83 or so. Is my math wrong?

I bought my Rosewill for $64 not the CM Storms

Yup, me to, :wink:I thought, oh never mind, guess I was confused...
-
did this deal expire already, or does it still work today?

What do you folks think about the Cooler Master CM Storm QuickFire Rapid Mechanical Gaming Keyboard CA-40GKCL1 that was $65 at SuperBiiz this week? They delayed my order due to credit card shipping address checks so I won't get mine for a while. It looks like another great tenkeyless bargain, once again, with the perfect layout (normal PC keyboard with just the keypad missing).
Will I enjoy it more than the Ducky tenkeyless clone ALPS from a couple months ago? That's my daily driver at work now and I love the noise it makes when I'm really working fast.

That's where I got my blue one a while back. I also had the shipping issue. They will only ship to the billing address for some reason.
