I was wondering how you keep track of all the group buys you're in?
I'm in about 6 right now and am having a hard time keeping track of them
-
Excel

1. I sign up, wait for the PM and then pay.
2. Randomly things turn up in the post each week!
3. ??
4. Profit!

Excel
How do you have your columns/labels setup
-
I thought you meant for running a GB. I used to just save a notepad doc to my desktop for everything. Now I do only for important ones. I kinda like mystery packages :D
-
wait for the invoices. pay when they come, wait some more... SURPRISE!
-
Yeah, shipping to Poland is so slow, that i forget what I've ordered, and then I have a suprise (sometimes suprise comes with 23% tax, but nvm).

Lol, so true.

I have a column for description of what I bought, date ordered, price paid, and status
-
i wonder where all my money went, then sift through my paypal logs to discover that it went towards caps and boards. sometimes though, i remember!
-
I don't keep track.
It's a lot funnier.
Also, since I follow the group buys subforum pretty closely, I tend to follow every update too !

Excel
I should really do that myself. That way I can better keep a record of what I spend. Right now everything is listed in a txt with how much I paid only registered half the time. I do have them categorized though =p.
-
I started a spreadsheet.....
......I spend too much :(
-
How does everyone GB everything except me?:mmph: I am literally not organized enough for even ONE group buy.
Swear to god I can't even figure out how half of this stuff works...
-
Keep it that way, spolia optima. You do not want to become a group guy hoarder. We will all soon have our own tv show xD.

Google Docs(excel) + python = PWN
Nasty VB -_-

I try to forget, then when I get a package it feels more like a gift and less like something I bought. j/k
But really, Ginseng...

I'm going to start that! I won't like the result, as many person here, but It's really useful!

My columns are: Date, Username of seller, Item description, Price, Paid (Y/N), Received (Y/N), and Notes.
Works wonders, but the downside is that it tells you exactly how much money you would still have if you weren't painfully addicted to GH. ;)

Also using google docs here, with the columns as follows: Date, Title, description, link (makes it really easy to find my way back), currency, amount, price in DKK (which is why I have the currency field. Really makes it easy to find out how much exactly it costs for me, and how little money I'll have left after payment >_>), and finally status.
It should be noted I use this spreadsheet for all of my investments, so especially the link field is quite nice. The currency is calculated as current, if no date are set, or if there is, the specified date (in other words, I specify a date only when I pay).
The status' are generally "ordered", "paid", and "received", with a couple of extra possibilities such as "perhaps", or "waiting", in case I just want to note it down.
It's also used to keeping track of how much money I have "out of the house", and how much I've spent total.
The extra possibilities also allow me to make tests, of certain products, without actually including them in anything for real.
@boost: What are you using python for? o:
