Post by: exousia7 on Tue, 05 June 2012, 23:41:38
How much would people be willing to pay for an unboxed, original package retained IBM Model M? Whether it be for the sake of collecting or for usage, how much would people pay for it??

it depends on:
-what year
-which logo
-101,SSK,122 terminal without LED overlay(needs modding to make it work on PC's), 122 key with LED overlay( its a plug and play terminal board)
- made by IBM,Lexmark,Unicomp?

I'm always into look out for NIB Model M, just depends which one it is and do I have that kind. Hit me up you maeby have something that I dont have and I would not mind have it in collection.

I think he's asking theoretically.

Correct me if i'm wrong but i've seen open box units go for 100-150ish?

It all depends on ebay at the moment, there were times when M's would go for 20 bucks (before my time) and now it's double or triple that.

there are 2 sellers on ebay at the moment trying to sell Model M's with the straight cable, one by Lexmark and the other made in UK  for $100 each. So far they havent had much luck, it all depends on make, model, year how much it will sell for.
