I recently got my first mechanical keyboard: Rosewill with MX Browns.
I've noticed that some keys I'm instinctively bottoming out on. Backspace, shift, alt, ctrl, arrow keys, etc.
I feel as though the tactile feel might just be getting away on these keys and am considering replacing them with MX Reds.
Has anyone else thought about doing this?
Maybe this feeling will pass?

I have mixed feelings on it.
Ha, I know cheap pun. Are you wanting to make them more firm? Perhaps you try replacing them with MX black if you feel that you bottom out too easily. Or, you could look at replacing the springs to make them more firm.

You can consider getting some O rings, but i'm sure that you'll get used to it with time.

i've done this ergo whites on a-z and modifiers and browns on the rest, i don't like non tactile so no reds.
-
Riffraff, I am not saying I want them firmer.
I'm saying that I'll probably instinctively bottom out on them no matter what the firmness.
So, I thought I might replace with reds since I'll bottom out anyway. The goal would be easier to press for keys you hold down (alt, ctrl) and keys that you often repeat (backspace, arrow keys)
I am surely going to give it a few months before I decide to do this unless someone convinces me otherwise.

I have been thinking about doing a variable layout similar to the realforce variable using brown switches for the keys you hit with your pinkies, ergo clears for the rest of alpha/num, and a standard clear spacebar. I'm really regretting not getting in on the poker DIY GB now that I think about it!

O rings on mods only is what's up

Until Diablo 3 came out my main keyboard was ergo clears on all of the main keys and ghetto reds on the arrow keys to smooth them out as I saw no need for tactile feedback on arrow keys.
So long as there is some logic to the decision and you like it down the road go for it.
However I love o rings and would recommend you go for that option before trying anything more invasive.

I have blacks in my shift, enter, and caps lock keys. and a blue in my space bar. the rest are reds.

yup. that was one of many motivators behind my participation in the Phantom group-buy. being able to mix up switches on a plate mount without having to de-solder is a big perk. greens, panda and ergo clears, ghetto reds... mmm

Sounds like good advice.
I'm on the list for the cherry tester tour, so I am hoping to get a better idea at that point.
