I've decided to switch to brown keys, and I'm not sure which keyboard I should get as a replacement...figured I'd ask the experts :)
I really like how the Das keyboard feels with blue keys, but I just need something less noisy for work. I was considering another Das....or maybe a leopold/ducky/or maybe even a filco. I'm up for anything as long as it's not flashy (so no custom keys), full size keyboard (need tenkey X_X), and hopefully with a similar feel to the das blues.
Recommendations?

I would take a look at WASD [1]. Mechanicalkeyboards.com is an up and comer that carries lots of different brands if you don't like what you see at WASD.

I'm pretty impressed with Filco and Leopold. They are in my experience less "pingy" than DAS's supposedly silent Browns keyboard. Both brands are "not flashy," offer full-size keyboards, and excellent feels.

Yes. This. ^

Any opinions on the filco or leopold brown full sized keyboard? Is one or the other more readily available for the US? It seems to me that there isn't much difference between the two except for the pricing.

Both the leopold and filco are excellent keyboards imo. Leopold is less pricey and uses cherry style stabilizers.

I would get either filco or rosewill. too bad you just missed that sale!

I've heard terrible things about the rosewill having really bad usb connector problems, and the keys coming weird.

The USB problem is overblown. There's nothing faulty about it, it's just the flimsy little MiniUSB port on the back that everyone on Newegg is whining about. However, researching the keyboard here, I never noticed anyone complaining. That's probably because the Newegg mongoloids don't know how to treat their ****.
As far as the keys go, mine has no such issues and those that do can be readily fixed with lube.

^ This.
I have had my Rosewill RK-9000BR (Brown Switch) since late January/earlier February and its been serving me quite well since then. My USB port on it has been perfectly fine since I got it and my spacebar and shift keys and such haven't squeaked at all. My keys etching is a little worn due to my own laziness but this is a solid keyboard. Granted I'm still wondering why its $109 (I paid $104 with shipping on amazon when I ordered it) but whatever. I would highly recommend getting this keyboard. Or just get a Filco. Cherry stabilizers aren't for the faint of heart...
