Title: Can you replace caps lock with an R4 key?
Post by: dmbr on Sat, 09 June 2012, 20:05:02
I've seen some pics where it appears to have been done. Is it an R4 keycap that's being used?

Well, its definitely possible.

The height profile will be an issue.

What pics have you seen doing it that are actually appealing? As Nunez wrote, it's possible given all cherry stems are the same and stabilizers won't be an issue, but it's kind of weird..

I use the short right shift from an 1822 as my capslock.

Ah, I see. Hadn't considered the height.

I have a clear r4 which I was thinking of using for looks with the LED; I also figured it might cut down on accidental allcaps.

Thanks for the replies!
