Post by: Th3KAS on Tue, 19 June 2012, 22:20:07
I've been tempted by Clears for some time. Indifferent to manufacturer.

Thanks.

Hamza (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?32513-Leo-Clears-TKL-Filco-Browns-TKL-Filco-Ninja-caps) has them for sale and I bought mine (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?31900-Keycool-taobao) through a taobao agent like Lin or Qtan.

Thanks JaccoW! Unfortunately shipping to the US from EU costs a lot, but if your willing to pay then no problem

Yes, the impracticality of international shipping dampened my enthusiasm.

If the second-hand market proves anemic this may be my solution.

I have a Leopold I bought from Gerk a while back that I'd be willing to trade for a black 87 key with reds or enough money to get me most of the way to buying one.

My current (and only) mechanical keyboard is a CM Quickfire Rapid with Blue switches. If you can show the condition of the Leopold, I might be able to get you close to that magic number.

I'm not sure what you want to see. It's gotten daily use since I got it but works 100% and is not full of Dorito pieces.

The USB cable that I got from PO wasn't the one that came with it and I had to cut out some extra plastic to get it to fit but it sits flat with no wobble. There's a label with my name/email on the back and there's a chance that removing this would leave a mark. I have a box and a plastic cover for it.

Here's some shots:

I have two sets of keys:
1) The ones on the Leopold right now came with my Filco. Some keys are faded.
2) The ones on the Filco came with my Leopold and have o-rings on them (softens and stiffens the landing).
(Note that in the shot of the filco you can see faded shift and space keys... these are the Filco's keys. I didn't swap F# keys or shift/enter/backspace/space/print/scroll/pause.)

Please be clear about which you'd prefer. I'd ask an extra $10 for the ones with the o-rings just to save myself the nuisance of replacing them.
