Title: Northgate OmniKey Ultra keyboard
Post by: wally6800 on Wed, 20 June 2012, 08:52:11
Hi,
I just found a Northgate Omnikey Ultra Keyboard packed away in a lot of old computer stuff I boxed up when I moved several years ago.

I would like to try using it again, but I need a cord to connect it to my computer.  I am a user and not a techie so I need help in locating a cable that will work.

Any help offered will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Wally

First if your keyboard comes with a large connector cable you can just buy a Din 5 female to PS/2 male adapter
If you don't have a cable you can probably buy one at the northgate repair site.
You can find here a manual (http://www.mindspring.com/~jko/tmp/NorthgateOmniKeyUltraManual.pdf) for using the keyboard
Good luck fitting it back into use.

The plug to my Omnikey looks like a standard female PS/2 port.  Would a male/male PS/2 cable work for him?
