Sleabo's been kind enough to send me a engraved and in-filled keycap based on the team liquid logo.

Can you tell me about the procedure of getting it made? Did you send them some .svg mockup and they said what is possible or what not? :x Their website gives very little actual information about the required steps to get a custom made keycap from them.

He was looking for keycap ideas and I just sent him a jpg. A lot easier than Signature plastics svg creation, and the results and detail seem spot on.

I do too, however the detail with engraving does seem to be better. If you look at the SP cap the horses head is just a better shape. The doubleshot cap doesn't quite look right along side it.
The SP cap is in stock at team liquids site, but I personally prefer the Qwerkeys on in person. It looks closer to the actual logo in shape. It's under the horses chin where the difference is, the SP cap looks more like a giraffe. (sounds harsh sorry)

Um, rly? The ones I have from TL are F row, same as the ones I got from the original group buy here on GH.

They don't seem like it, I tried them on my Filco but the wasn't level with the other F keys, Maybe i've made a mistake..
Edit: never mind, I just put them on to check and they are F row caps, I dont know what even made me think that! It must have been a early morning when they arrived :/

SP keys have a different profile than Filco, as do Qwerkeys keys. You'll never get a perfect match unfortunately.

Yeah the seem about 1mm lower but when I first put them on I thought they slanted making me think they was for a different row XD must have just been the angle I was sitting I guess.. stupid mistake!

Key caps from qwerkeys looks very unique. i've never seen before. i like it. Btw, is it abs? or pbt? is it tall as filco?

ABS engraved and filled, cherry profile. May look good on.escape on your filco.

Don't know, I'd expect them to behave the same as double shot. They'd be shiney as hell before wearing down.

I don't expect them to behave the same as double shots, legends that are double shotted are going to last more or less forever, while all the other infilled keys I ever owned all wear down quite fast, with that being said I never had QWER ones before but in the end it's still engraved infilled.
But being a ESC row key probably not going to get spammed too many times though.
DS > dyesub > engraved infilled > pad print in terms of durability

QWERkeys says the next batch will be completely infilled rather than outlined. I'm waiting for that version although I kinda want this one for collection purposes

I'm with you Sifo, I think they will look better completely infilled. I still kind of want this version also, maybe I will get lucky and there will still be some left when the new batch comes out.
I would also love to see some different teams logos if it is possible.

What do you mean by infilled? I'm ordering one of these from qwerkeys and it looks great, but I kinda want to wait now if these "infilled" ones will look better.

What they do is dig into the keycap surface with a laser (they engrave it). Then they fill the area with a pigment (or ink or dye, all could be used in theory) in a process called infilling.
So they can put any colour into the etched area. In this case, it's light blue.
