Competition is good as mechanical keyboards are getting more popular! I want to start hearing more recommendations than Filco or Ducky when folks are looking for a new keyboard!

Nothing precise, but Qtang will soon begin stocking some of these boards, and I am certain that, as demand increases he will stock more items, including accessories (e.g. POM keycap sets).

Wow, if I'm correct 37 black/white key caps for 10 dollars, unless I did the math wrong. Interesting, I hate that it's not english, but that's just me, lazy american ^_____^

Where do you see that? I'd love to see a backlit TKL keyboard with helvetica or futura.
Edit: NM, it's in the scrolling picture, and it's helvetica! 558 Chinese yuan = 87.5474 US dollars. Pretty nice price for a backlit keyboard.

Should be ABS, for the backlit ones at the very least, and most likely for all the models.
That said, I'm interested in what keycaps they have, especially if they offer PBT.

I must have made a mistake but this keyboard : http://www.kc-keycool.com/product.php?mod=detail&id=16 cost 558¥ ... what is the price in € or $? because I calculate something like less than 10$ ... That must be a joke no? ^^
EDIT : I first though those were japanese yens ... after a little check, it's the chinese one, so it's about 74.47€ which is awesome for such a keyboard, but what about ordering them, can we do it on the site? is it better if we make a group order?
EDIT 2 : read the rest of the topic is powerful! I'm definitly getting a 87key with backlight if qtann can have them!

It is almost the lowest price Mechanical keyboard in the market right now, try it out might be a good idea. Of course it won’t be as good as Noppoo or any upper-class brand but it is good enough for their job.
What about this statement? is it true? what about those keyboard quality? is it ok?

Months ago, when KeyCool first came out, there were some quality problems. Somewhere, on this site, DA, or one of his sites, Qtang addresses these problems, and (in short) states that the newer released boards' quality is better than it was. (I just can't find the info.) Imho, this is correct. In the past few weeks, I have purchased 3 KeyCool boards (87 white, 87 black, and 84 white - all Clears - no LED's), and the quality seems super (especially for the price). And, they do come with a one year warranty.

the thing is that I want a board with backlight, so is it still better to buy something like a ducky 9008s or can I trust this mark and take their 87key with backlight? (there is a big difference in the price, like lets say 90$ for the KeyCool and 159$ for the ducky ... but still ..)
and btw, where did you buy those boards? cause I can't order the 87key backlight from their site, I get an error message all the time

I have a Ducky 9008S (yellow backlighting - Browns), and it's a really good looking, well made board. However, I don't have a KeyCool backlit board, so I can't make any comparisons. You also will have to deciide whether you want a 108 key board (Ducky), or an 87 or 84 key board KeyCool).
I bought my boards from qtan5370 - See his post, above (Reply #13).

I'll probably go for the same ducky as you were speaking about, the one with gold backlight, with chinese letters on it (from qtan) as I like having something "exotic" on my board ^^
now I don't really care about the numpad, so 87 can be good (I find the 84 is too small for me :S), but I can't find a place where to buy those :S (I PMed Qtan, but Still no answer, I'm going to wait a bit more before ordering)

I'm all for more options and new variants in the tenkeyless space, but I'm not sure if I can trust the longevity and functionality of LEDs made by upstart companies. I might wait for WASD's supposedly upcoming tenkeyless with backlighting and Clear MX switches.

That was indeed something I was afraid of about the quality, is the longevity of LEDs that they use, but if everybody thinks like that, nobody goes to buy it and we will never know, so I think I'll maybe buy one ... Still not sure ...

isn't he going to give me answer before? :P 48h already passed since I sent him a message about that 87key Keycool keyboard ^^ ... but ... ok :P let's make it 72! if by Thursday at 2am gmt+1 (my hour ^^) I don't have any answer, I'll get the ducky (which is going to be difficult because I'll buy it from him too xD)

A little question, that is non related with the keycool keyboards (it's more a "general" question) can we change the color of the leds of a keyboard? what I mean is : are there any place when we can buy the same leds in another color and change them by ourself?
oh and ... I got an answer ... for the ducky ^^ not for the Keycool yet :P :D

You can replace them with other LED's, no matter what the board. There are, however, some issues with this that need to be considered.
1. the forward voltage of the LED. As long as the replacement LED's have a similar Vf, you can just drop them in.
2. size: I think it's 3mm
3. brightness. You don't want to end up adding extra resistors for every LED. This is a similar issue to #1.

Ok that was the only thing, so with a bit of time and if I'm happy with the KeyCool I'll be able to switch to golden leds or something like that!

I got an answer today from qtan!
I'm going to quote him, I hope he doesn't mind :
I will put on Key cool LED version in this week, just work out a deal with them.
So by the end of this week, my keyboard should be ordered!
I also asked him about the led replacement, and he said me he would be able to get some the next month!
*_* you can't imagine how excited I am!!

Lots of people are waiting for things from Qtang. I myself am waiting for an order to be processed and an answer to a request for a keyboard listed on Taobao. Think that, like the rest of us, you'll just have to wait.

84 is close to the MX Mini layout. May try it and save myself a few hundred bucks.

I Finaly did it :) ordered one with black switches and I also ordered rainbow caps (abs caps) for the same board :) now I'll wait to get it ^^

I ordered mine a long time ago, from Taobao, I should get it tomorrow (stupid fedex, it arrived yesterday near my city, but as they said it would arrive the 16, they didn't deliver it :s)

How are the keycaps for the backlit keyboards? For the non backlit it's stated "Black ones are pad-printed ABS".

Please stop the searching that you are doing for me. Just got the KeyCool LED that you sent me, and all I can say is "WOW!!!" What an amazing keyboard (packaging, extras, details, lighting, build quality, feel... everything), and the one I got is MX Reds, on which I'm a little shaky. A $100.00 package as impressive as anything available (no matter what the price). Of course, my next board will be another one. You're selling a real winner.
