Title: Classifieds and GB access

I've changed this so that everyone has read access to the gb and classifieds forums. further, all registered members can reply to threads in these forums. however, posting new threads requires a large number of posts.

finally, post spam will no longer be tolerated.

Could you tell us the number before being able to make a new thread? I had wanted to post in the classifieds and would just like to know when I can do that.

While I agree that this is necessary, is there some sort of approval or feedback process in place for people looking to submit even an interest check for groupbuys?  Some sort of system (sub-forum, set of volunteers for a review board) in place so that newer members can have their ideas reviewed, critiqued and perhaps sponsored by more established members would be really nice.

The only problem I can see with this is that it promotes forum spam until a certain number.

the "making stuff!" board is for ideas. the group buy board is for the business of actually proxying product.

Umm, ok.  I'll throw my ideas up there for the time being.  Doesn't seem to actually be active, but we'll see what happens!

Whenever minimum post counts are put into place there is always a RISE in spam. Anyone here remember Ripster's thread where people would make like 30 useless posts so that they could post a link/picture or leave feedback?

DT members should have instant access, but how would that be implemented? A post containing a picture of that persons control panel on DT?
