I still recon it is bad for mice. One should not have to press a mouse button several mm to make it actuate.

I saw this awhile ago and find it silly to put mechanical switches in a mouse yet alone as the side buttons instead of button 1 or 2. Either way, just a company trying to cash in on the mechanical keyboard craze going on in the SC2 community.

I game quite often, but I avoid anything labeled or sold as "gaming" because generally they are lower quality and at a higher price

I think I'll pass on this; thanks, though.

Technically all mice have mechanical switches anyways ;P

Before you know it they will make rubber dome mouse switches...

And another scary thought... if they're starting to put keyboard switches in mice, what would happen if they started putting mice switches in keyboards???

I was thinking that same thing after I posted that xD

Could you imagine a keyboard with all mouse micro switches?? lol!

yeah i've seen this. not keen for this mouse. i see no point of putting cherry mx switch for a mouse.

I could kind of imagine it on a laptop keyboard, but even then it still wouldn't be all that practical.

I wish they would make a game controller with all micro switches. I know the razer onza did the ABXY buttons, but I want them all to be!

Gaming mice are a gimmick. My regular old run-of-the-mill two button PS/2 mice play games just as well! And they were free.

Were I designing this: I'd use a lever so the "Effective" actuation distance was shorter, and you'd still have cherry MX switches.

I like the idea of this, be nice to try it out at least.. whether it's good or not is a different matter, but good that they are attempting it.

i pioneered this, thread here

that mouse is crappy, it's not even the main l or r buttons that are mx, it's the stupid side button, wtf! what is the use of having a side button with mx, it's like trying to get mx switches on a mouse and having no commitment issues.

btw mx switches on mouse are great, why use crappy omron switches just cuz you need a smaller switch package? playing diablo3 on inferno no issues.

You are using that as your main mouse?
How does it feel? Whats the force needed like compared to standard mouse buttons?

everything is stated in that thread, it's my daily driver and it's less force than omrons, especially since all the force on omrons are focused on the size of a needle pin head.
