round 4 doubleshots will have tux keys. And gnome keys.
And glider keys btw \o/
But I'm definitively in for some keys if it ever will happen.
BTW, I had a nice idea for a keycap which I'll probably do as a GB soon :P.

Any Unicorn Keys. And Puppy Dog Keys. And Fireworks Keys. And Lollypop Keys
It would be nice to have some ADM-3A style H,J,K, and L keys with arrows on them to go with the Vim escape keys.
Can we see a green geeko modifier? No Suse ppl?

Isn't that basically Round 3?

He meant that he wants arrows beneath the letters.
PEOPLE USE SUSE!??!?!Can we see a green geeko modifier? No Suse ppl?
Not a lot of people use suse :P.

I rock archlinux, and would defo get an arch key if it gets to happen.
And if it doesn't, I'll just make the GB one day.
BTW, is anybody good with graphics? :P.
OP updated with some mockups of feasible doublshots.
Also, Dyesub is the answer to all these keycaps. Tricolour ubuntu logo? Dyesub. Good-looking linux mint logo? Dyesub. It's really the answer to everything.
I'm really a big fan of double shots...the legends come out so much more crisp and clean.
I'll work on a few of these ideas and add to OP
Would love a \n return keyMe too;)
Oh man. What we ought to have is a Larry the Cow cap. Maybe purple key with white foreground? I'll try to draw something up when I get home from work this evening. In the meantime... Larry! (http://www.wired.com/images/slideshow/2007/04/gallery_mascots/larrythecow.jpg)I know you wanted to do the larry key, but I couldn't resist checking out how it will look;)

The colors would be RCJ on WA and WA on RCJ, respectively.
Those are beautiful! :DThanks:)
How about a key which says 'terminal'
to have a decent price, we need 50 keycaps per logo if we go the doubleshot route, and less if we go infil or dyesub. So maybe we should prepare like 10-15 complete feasible ideas, then set the number of keys per set, let's say 5, make a survey, where everybody votes 5 times for distinct keycaps and then each participant buys whole sets of 5 caps for a set price.

This price can be a little higher to cover the tooling costs of the next, say 5 caps, which will allow us to also buy these less common keycaps for sensible prices, if we buy the basic set.
This sounds a bit like Round Four...
Not sure this is good:D
But if people don't agree with your methods, they won't buy ofc :P .And that's what I'd fear the most if I were to organize it;)

I'd approve of this, even more so something like this, though:Show Image(http://www.spyderbytedesign.com/sites/default/files/images/20120606173445.png)
There could be two version of this key: green on black = user-shell, and red on black = root-shellHow about a key which says 'terminal'

Just throwing the idea out there, could a terminal key be made doubleshot, white as base, shot with black, something similar to the image I previously linked, with the white base working as the border, and the ">_" ?
Not sure how it would look, but might be nice if it works.

I also tend to like DS better.
anyways, here is a Linux Mint mod key without the other graphic effects in there and just the white DS part

That one could be tricky to do...I was starting to think this set should be more generic Linux/Unix and less specific distributions because A) We can to every dist. B) Most of those logos are trademarked and may get denied by SP and C) A lot of them are too complex for double shots.
kill -9 backspace?
mh… yeah why not.
I have other ideas I want to run. Procrastination ftw !
I want a backspace with this on it :
:(){ :|:& };:
The only Linux-y key I want is a 1-unit Meta key that goes well together with my Dolch key caps. Fat chance, though.
[...] That or $_ / #_I support this :D Or sth like $>_ and #>_ which probably would be too long I think.
Wait what Round 4? Is there a group buy that I am missing that is selling the Glider?
And >is for green text.
What terminal uses > or shell for that matter?
Doesn't Round3 (and Round3 in the current Round4) have one?No. Not left-justified. Signature Plastics' font and bottom row profile is different profile from Cherry's.

He meant that he wants arrows beneath the letters.
Ahhh I see - That is doable...is there much interest for those?
for this project it may be prudent to use a font widely associated with linux/other unixalikes. maybe a bitstream vera variant?terminus?
even better would be an approximation of a bitmapped console font. i'll try to remember to play around with it when i get off work tonight.
If you mean these two:I am pretty sure 7bit dropped the glider from round4 after I canceled my 100 orders. I believe there was only minimal support after that.

I am not seeing a Glider key.
But I did miss round 3's Lotus :(

I LOVE CARBON PRINTED RASTER FONTS! But osifont looks bad for $_ #_. I think I might actually make the blocks instead.
