Welly had one of these (or another Chicony 'board with these copies), and I think he said they felt like blues but a little stiffer.

I thought hammer with Cherry keystems sounded odd.

Here's a pic from Sandy's page. (http://sandy55.fc2web.com/keyboard/temp/temp.html#Fake%20Cherry)

I did a translate but didn't get whether he liked them or not.

If anyone here tries em (hey - cheaper even than a M10) please post what you think.

My Scorpius 32 keypad has those fake ones.

So do they feel different than your M10?

Yeah, they're stiffer. They feel like a combination of the blue and white switches. The white resistance and the blue click.

I'm tempted to get one, but I really need to stop buying keyboards...especially when I just end up going back to my Model F...

There are still some of these left at the original auction.

The price is now $19.99

They are actually pretty amusing to type with, just don't have the sophistication of some of the more common keyboards.

Sounds like Chicony construction isn't the greatest.

No kidding. I noted elsewhere that I smashed two Chiconys all over the floor of my office after they seized up and certain keys stopped registering within hours of use. I was actually finding key caps and other pieces for weeks. LOL. yeah, right.

I had 4 and 2 are in smithereens already. The sad thing is for a membrane board they actually feel really light and nice. Too bad the MTBF is measured in minutes.

No more Chicos for me, amigos.

Iron, this boards are mechanical, not membrane, and I have a feeling they will last a long time
