Using what I learned from my logic class in college, if LEGO people don't move their hips, and you don't move your hips, then you must be a LEGO person. So that's your secret, Mr.... Lego McLegoman.

I am really bored at work today.  It's gorgeous outside, and I am stuck in here talking to you people.

I wish it was gorgeous outside up north in CT where I live. For the past few weeks, it's been cloudy and bitter cold, with just enough snow on the ground to get in the way of clearing the fallen trees fin my yard from August's tornado.

Yeah, first draft of the Tin Tin script was written by Steven Moffat of Couplings, Jekyll and Doctor Who fame (now the series exec-producer and head writer). Only had to bow out from doing the re-writes and the second movie due to the Writer's Strike and then commitments to take over from Russell T. Davies on Who.

Should be very, very interesting.

I could understand keeping the white background to make it show up better.  png would produce a higher quality picture but I was using gif for a smaller file.  As I have the background transparent, and png supports that as well, not sure how that would make it show up better.

Maybe I'm not fully getting your point.

Appreciate the feedback, hadn't played with graphics sw for a while and am playing with GIMP trying to figure out the features so my "skills" are a work in progress,

I think what was being brought to attention was the fact that those of us using the dark theme can see jagged white edges around the cropped images.

Oh, and lol, will they provide Microsoft Mug SP1 on a free mail-order CD like they did for XP SP2?

OK, I think that happens when I convert to GIF, just wanted to be somewhat efficient with size, maybe png isn't much worse.

Find a 1980s Austin IBMer to vouch for it?

There is, and was in the 80s, a large IBM presence in Austin and the guy IS in Austin so the story makes sense.  The handle looks similar to one older IBM cup I've seen, suspect a modern copy handle would be just a simple loop like nearly every other modern coffee mug.  And the logo colors and layout look in line with IBM corporate standards.

Given that the seller is in texas, the cup was made for IBM texas, the chances of it being a fake or basically 0. I can't see why someone living in texas would want to spoof an IBM mug anyhow.

The only time I seen spoofed IBM things was with a few mice and mousepads.

ripster :  thanks, and howdy.

Now if I just had the pictured equipment - and space to store it!

But I would have had to offload it anyways last time I moved, so maybe it's just as well I didn't have anything that large...  Most of the stuff I managed to keep would fit better in a forum labeled 'dumpster goodies' or 'curb treasure'.  It's where my model F came from, and  (cuts short list of junk hauled around for years).

The real curse of moving is having to figure out good sources for 'finds' again.

Now if someone would just leave and ASR-33 on the curb around here...

That rarely happens to me on ebay though. I usually bid on weird junk nobody else wants so I usually don't get too much competition.

Some looney kept raising the price I had bidded on the L190 LCD. I could have got it like for $60 if he didn't keep bumping up the price to $80.

And, I left my bid to $100 on my TI-83 plus silver, interestingly enough, no one outbidded it.

Sometimes you win like a breeze, sometimes someone raises the bid up to your annoyance and you still win, sometimes the seller removes the listing the same day you're about to purchase, sometimes you get the wrong item or in poor condition, or sometimes you miserably lose.

Nah, you mis-understand a bit (I agree with your point though, played lots of games myself). To be compatible with the TI 83 Plus Silver the OS can only utilize as much ram as the TI 83 Plus. So the OS leaves 64 K sitting there doing nothing and unusable... Why? Dunno.

The TI 84 series (successor) has the same amount of ram as the TI 83 Plus, so its probably a restriction to maintain app compatibility. Even in the 84 silver edition.

Ohhh, alright, yes, I see what you're saying.

Without having used the newer one my perspective is from the 83+ looking up to the newer ones, speaking only about what their specs claim rather than what ends up being usable.

In a previous life, this mug came into my possession.

They are indeed part of the larger Atlanta-based entity that provides various newspaper and telecommunications products across the nation.  This was  a mug passed out in celebration of a major expansion.

I can't say they're "Evil Empire" but the parent entity(Cox Enterprises) is quite huge and well spread out in various forms across the CONUS.
