text: Europe blabla
when will they learn it?

Europe plans nothing. Europe is a huge pile of soil and water.
anyways, lol'd at the text :D

I would think that it shouldn't require a law. Just redefine the HTML standards so that conformant browsers can't have a cookie privacy setting lower than "ask me first before every cookie". Although that would be extreme in today's web, while cookies that are valid between sites can already be turned off by privacy settings, as they should be.

The EU prides itself on being the vanguard regulation force in the world and fining large US Multinationals.
Well somebody has to :)
-
Another utterly unenforceable law. Whatcha gonna do? Sue the cookiemakers? Press charges because they consumed 114 bytes of your emotional well being?
Besides, I like some kinds of web cookies.

What has the EU done that actually helps anything?
I bet they're funded by all the anti-trust lawsuits they file.

Well, there is RoHM, pretty good overall except now you can't buy 1,1,1-trichlorethane mumblegrumblebull****.
And they brought us Rammstein and Techno Viking. And they legalized PlayStation mod chips. Oh, even piratebay is the result of Euro Law.

I hear the EU is run by homosexuals and flag burners.

The lawyers?
