It may surprise you, but the US is no longer the largest keyboard market in the world.
According to this article (http://www.reuters.com/article/2010/01/15/china-internet-idUSTOE60E06S20100115) China's population of Internet users hit 384 million in January.

Also note that you can still buy Filcos through Amazon.

But according to that map, you can't buy them in Heilongjiang, Yunnan, Guangxi and several other provinces. There are probably a couple hundred million people they're not reaching.

Very few in southwest China, which would be the world's 6th most populous country if separate.

But everyone buys from Taobao these days anyway.

Amazon reaches FAR wider audience than EK could ever hope. Believe it or not, most Filco and even Leopold buyers are not registered on GH. I can't believe you are still trying to defend your claim that Filco is somehow scaling back. Give it a rest.

The Filco keyboard's price at Amazon is a little bit higher than it used to be at EK.

For example, the Tenkeyless was $121 at EK and now it's 139 at Amazon.

I will have to take a Filco red swich keyboard from China this summer instead taking it from Amazon. It's $179 at Amazon. In China, it's about $150.

$115 for the keyboard.

Now, given it cost $40 to ship to my home across the Atlantic, I doubt it would cost $25 to ship to anywhere in the US.

Average shipping cost to the East Coast (Opposite side of the country) from EK per keyboard has generally been around $11-$15.
