This board has Cherry 'MY' swiches and lasered tops. The keycaps are MX compatable, but this wouldn't have a full set.

You'll see these pop up quite a bit on ebay.

Keep looking for a G80 which will have MX switches of some variant.

so if they are "my switches" then which mx switches would you say they are closet to?

and you do say that they ARE mx keycap compatable?

thanks!

Closest to blacks in a really unpleasant way. A few people like them but most do not. Some people remove the springs from the switches to create a very light (35g) linear switch.

The keycaps are MX compatible but these aren't really anything that special aside from probably being somewhat thicker (though I could be wrong as I am not too familiar with too many USB MY boards).

Nothing special at all, only the keys that are nonstabilized are useable and the new Cherry pbt keys are thin as hell. In short, not worth buying these at all unless you want a nice new white casebody for a G80-18**.

yea the DT cherry model number wiki is the best reference on these at the moment

Just because it is G81 doesn't mean its bad though, it could still have double shots if it has the "H" in the model name.

and you know I think G80-1800's are the bomb  ;D

The most awesome are the G80-1813HFU, G80-1838HPU and G80-1863HUMUS-2 WNV edition. I would say those are the 3 that are most worth looking for. The original Raptor Gaming K1 is also pretty good one if you can find it.
