Post by: Lethal Squirrel on Tue, 07 August 2012, 12:05:54
I got a g84 for a friend, and he really wants some colored keycaps. I've seen different colored ones out there, im just not sure where to get them. any suggestions?

I have never seen colored keycaps for a G84, but I got some replacement ones here http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Cherry-83-Key-Keyboard-Assembly-Replacement-G84-4137-Dark-Grey-4100-Series-/221010685841?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item3375436f91#ht_500wt_1181

I suppose you could just dye some white ones any color you want, and i believe they are PBT.

Not sure you would get enough interest to create a GB through SP, though. Unless they have ready stock available.

The ones I saw must have been died. they were blue with blank black mods.

I'm pretty sure not all are PBT. Mine are Dyesub, but others are lasered or pad printed. I suspect the black ones are POM or ABS. The Beige should be PBT (like I have) or ABS.

Does anyone have a lasered or pad-print G84 they would like to look under the keycaps?

Try this:

I think they are an 'all women' shop in Arizona.

Looks to me like they just get and re-sell SP keycaps.
