Hi folks
I have two of these units for sale. Both have original boxes and all contents they came with (extra keys, puller, etc). One also has red ESC key. One unit has a small blemish (read: ding) on the right hand side of the casing which is hardly noticeable and doesn't affect keyboard performance. Both were lightly used but I've decided that Topre's aren't for me after all.
Unit with blemish: $175 CDN
Second unit: $200 CDN SOLD
Both come with original boxes and shipping is extra. I'm located in the Toronto area so any fellow canucks out there that want these will get a much better deal than having to ship cross border, pay potential duties, etc. Pics will follow shortly.
Only have the one unit left and apparently my wife tossed the original box :( It's the second unit (with the small blemish) and I'm dropping the price to $150 CDN. Would prefer local sale if possible (In Greater Toronto Area) and am willing to swap. Looking for a tenkeyless with blues specifically.
Both units are gone now.

What colour are they? And do you know off hand what the difference between the 86 and 87 is?
-
Both are white and grey. Not sure of the differences between these and the 87's (aside from the 87's have one more key?)
-
Pics of the boards. Please excuse the crappy iPhone pics, didn't have batteries charged for the real camera. It was hard to get a shot of the ding in the one of them. It's not very noticeable, you can only see it if the light reflects the right way.

Does this have a longer spacebar since it is an 86 key with no windows key on the right side? Would this make it incompatible with replacement sets?

Good question, and sorry, I have no idea.

Bump. No canucks interested in these? Are the prices too high? If so make me an offer. I will sell them to whoever and ship too .. it's just harder for us Canucks that have to import these things and pay extra duties and stuff to get them. Duties are already paid on these ones :)

as a fellow Torontonian, I am very tempted but I have too many things on my to buy list atm T__________T
-
PM'd an offer.

Responded.

Bump! No one into these boards? I might be interested in trades as well -- make me an offer I can't refuse and I would love to get these boards to a new home.
Re: trades ... would love any decent buckling spring/ALPS based boards (but must be Mac compatible) or maybe tenkeyless boards with blues or possibly reds.

Bump again. Make an offer. They are sitting here collecting dust and I'd like to see them go to good homes.

Unfortunately I already have my sights locked on a rare Topre that pops up occasionally here and there on Japanese Auction sites or I might take you up on the offer.
The difference between the 86U and the 87U basically are that the 87U has 2 windows keys while the 86U only has 1. This is more important than you think because it affects the size of the spacebar, all Topre keysets only include spacebars that fit the 87U version, you won't be able to replace the 86U's spacebar except by cannablizing one from another 86U or finding someone willing to sell theirs (It's the same deal with 103U and 104U). Of course if your not planning on buying any topre keysets the point is moot and there is not real difference between the 86U and 87U.

One unit is sold, the other is still available. Also worth note is that I can't find the original box for the second keyboard so I may not have had it all along (I swear I had it at one point but the wife might have tossed it :( )

cant remember if i asked, but what is shipping to uk, cant be that much surely?
-
Price drop (as noted in the first post). $150 CDN or swap for a tenkeyless with blues in good condition. Sadly it looks like my wife tossed out the original box so it will be just the keyboard, the extra keys (caps lock/control) and the keypuller. Prefer a local meetup if possible but will ship if buyer pays shipping (only for a sale, not for a swap -- if you want to swap must be local to the Greater Toronto Area).

Shipping to the UK is about $42 so probably not worth it for you, sorry.
-
I could acquire a TKL with blues and mail it to you, maybe with a little money as well. What ever you are comfortable with.
-
It probably won't last that long danielucf ... someone is tentatively trading my for it tonight but if that doesn't happen I'll consider it.

Both boards are now sold.
