I noticed that there are only two types for sale on EK. I seem to remember there being more several months ago also the Full size boards seem to be of an older generation than the tenkeyless boards. Are they just so unpopular that EK is not stocking many of them or are we looking at new products coming soon?
-
I'm pretty sure they're just out of stock at the moment. And yeah, they're not really as popular as their 87 key siblings, so they don't stock as many. They also go pretty quickly because they're less expensive than the tenkeyless versions (however the heck THAT works out).

Damn I was hoping to grab a 103U white variable, somehow the white/grey combo just doesn't do it for me. Maybe I'll wait and see if new models will pop up later :P
EDIT: Wait do they only make all white version (no grey keycaps) for 87U?

I emailed EK about this a few weeks ago, and Brian told me:
"The 103UB has been discontinued, it will be replaced by the 104U in the
coming months."

Some time back, Topre announced new models and will cease production of 106, 101, 103U and 103UB in this September.
New models will appear in the market during December: 108, 104U and 104UB.

boards with 104 keys have already too many keys already, what is the point of 108?

Yeah, I saw Ripster post about all the new realforce boards on reddit.

108 is japanese layout and no you can't swap the ctrl with caps.
And it took them long enough for the 104, you can't get replacement spacebars for the 103 anywhere since all the ANSI keycap sets are made to fit a 104 even when it didn't exist.

I don't think any fullsize topre keyboards exist where you can swap caps with ctrl. At least if you mean the physical keycaps. You can always just use software to switch them and put blank keycaps on them.

wut
replacement keycap sets come with 2x ctrl and 1.5 caps. at least mine did O_O

Has anyone ever seen a 104, all 55g?
-
Nope - 103U is the closest you'll get
Edit: Woops RiGS is right. Does anyone know the model numbers for the Korean 104/106 models?

So, in the months to come, there is a chance that one might be available through Elite or The Keyboard Company (or Taobao).

Your best bet would be to get this through Iomania.
