Title: Tenkeyless Leopold in Japanese = Archiss I-T Touch AS-KB87?
Post by: Paranoid on Tue, 28 August 2012, 14:00:58
I found this on a french website while randomly browsing. They talk about a tenkeyless Leopold FC200R and display an image of a Archiss I-T Touch AS-KB87 on a japanese website. Could this be the same manufacturer but just with different branding? If so, this nice tenkeyless is also available there in ISO (japanese) and (if I can count right) would be about €80 without shipping.. not a bad price I guess. Is it decent quality?
Any comments on this?

On elitekeyboard a tenkeyless from leopold is also $99 so the price seems about right I guess. But then there is only ANSI :)

*this is the site I was talking about, point 3.8: http://forum.hardware.fr/hfr/HardwarePeripheriques/Clavier-Souris/clavier-mecanique-azerty-sujet_6902_1.htm

The archiss is exactly the same as the leopold. I picked up one 2 years ago before leopolds fr200r were sold through elitekeyboards. Quality is what you'd expect from leopolds--great but not as heavy as a filco.

Qualifications: I have an archiss (blues), a leopold (reds), and a filco (browns) lol.

I was close to buying one of these with clears, which I tried in a Sofmap store when I went to Japan. In the end I didn't, and I still kind of regret it! I've been wanting a JIS layout board forever, but if I recall correctly I thought the price was too good at the time (since it was like ¥8000). :)

And I don't know if I'm missing something here, but it doesn't seem to be available in ISO layout, at least not to me. :s
