Title: Topre full-sized silent?
Post by: Super Jamie on Wed, 29 August 2012, 18:07:43
The other day at work, someone was selling a Filco Ninja with Browns and was kind enough to give me a try for a morning.

I absolutely loved typing on it, but the noise was too much for my liking. I've since been looking into ways to quieten mechanical keyboards (like o-rings), or models which are quieter by design.

Naturally I found the Topre Realforce, and then the S-model silent boards. This is what I want. The YouTube comparison videos are delicious.

The Deskthority Wiki (http://deskthority.net/wiki/Realforce) indicates there is no silenced 101- to 108-key model. Is that a complete list? Any ideas if Topre are intending to release a silenced full-size?

The 108UH-S is a silenced model, not sure why its not listed as such on the Deskthority Wiki.

Its available from stores in Japan, Amazon.co.jp and some stores on Rakuten at the very least stock it if you want to buy it online.
