Hm, I'd say there is too much pinkywork.

Edit: Do you have any 6x7 boards available you want to build this with?

Nope, I don't. But plan to order their development yet.
By the way, can you tell me where I can find information about the required opensource microcontroller with usb port for programmable keyboard? Whether there is an established standard?
P.S. : Please excuse my poor English

Have seen the ErgoDox? It's in the process of coming to fruition. It will be fully remap-able and will be available in kits. Check it out!

I still like your idea because with Tipros it could be created quite cheaply.

Space position seems weird. Why is it so far left and not in the bottom row?

Not in the bottom row is fine if you chose the right heights for your caps.

Variant with less pinkywork ( but a few ugly maybe ? )

UPD: Both keyboard layouts are designed to support both Dvorak (Programmer Dvorak too) and Qwerty.

You read my mind!

Right and bottom place is occupied by the modifier keys, because they are used in combinations with other buttons. And they a shorter then spacebar. While the spacebar is directly under the letter keys.

Thanks, it seems a good idea!
