Title: Filco LED Mod?
Post by: Nokua on Mon, 03 September 2012, 17:17:07
I am wondering if there is such thing as a Filco LED Mod?

I read somewhere that it is possible to add LED's on your filco keyboards to make it backlit. Can anyone help me direct to any article or guide?

Thanks!

While it's technically possible the level of work involved is crazy since you can't go poking holes through the PCB without hitting at least a few traces.  The only Filco LED mod I am aware of being successful is changing the caps/scroll lock LEDs.

it's not really the technical challenge. It's more why waste your time doing this, when you can just buy one that's already backlit...

Ducky shine dragon. The only down side is the cherry stabilizer, but that's not the end of the world.

you can always litmod the stabilizers. i've been doing it to all my cherry stabilzers -- I like it quite a bit :)
