I've played the beta for War of the Roses, which is similar to this. I'll definitely be checking out both, but I've already got WotR pre-ordered, so I'll be trying that one first. The combat does look pretty impressive...I wonder which will be more popular?

Looks really awesome, though I want to wait until War of the Roses comes out to see what kind of reviews it gets..

Yeah, they'll be released within 2 weeks of each other so time will tell. I can report back after WotR goes full release and I've had a chance to play around. I've been a big fan of the Mount & Blade series for some time which originally led me to WotR, since Paradox is also the publisher (and I got a discount on Steam :p).

Awesome, that would be great. Didn't realize the dates were so close. Yeah, me as well.. I bought Mount and Blade back in alpha or beta.. can't remember. Ended up re-buying it when it hit steam.

This is a pretty cool genre of games that I have yet to get involved with. WotR looks like a pretty awesome game. I feel like there should have been a wii port lol :P

Installing WotR now...will report back with my opinion later!

OMFG. This is what I've been wanting forever. My Oblivion was modded to be pretty similar to this... count me in for buying.

Welp...reminds me a lot of the Beta. I really want to love this game, but I feel it still needs work before I get to that point. For me, there seemed to be a "lag" that was present on any server I played, no matter my latency or graphic settings. Characters were sliding all over the place. Also, I understand it's supposed to have a steep learning curve, but the controls still seem sluggish and the combat system doesn't seem as polished as it should be. It presently seems to be fairly unbalanced, and a bit grindy in terms of gaining experience. Remember, this is a very early impression and just my opinion. Don't get me wrong - you can still work with it and have some fun. Map and character design look beautiful. Every game is going to have it's ups and downs, and I haven't lost faith in this one yet. I expect it to improve over time.
I'll definitely be checking out Chivalry when that releases in 2 weeks regardless. Seems like it has the potential to be a more 'realistic' feeling experience based on what I've read and seen, more in the scope of what I wanted WotR to be.

This looks similar to Pirates Vikings and Knights and age of chivalry that are both free on steam.
Spent many hours playing PVK2 that **** owns. Pretty funny because the ms on the server doesnt really matter. I usually play on US servers because its so funny to hear americans scream in their mics :D

This game is from the same studio that made Age of Chivalry. In fact this game is suposed to be the sequel.
I'm going to buy it becasue I really enjoyed the original Chivalry, I spent a lot of hours on it. I also played PVK2.

Yeah, I too really enjoyed the original mod, Age of Chivalry. I also very much enjoy the Mount & Blade series, namely Warband, and that's what led me to WotR originally. At the time I was unaware of the chivalry series sequel, but I think I am more excited about Chivalry now after having played WotR. Only a side by side comparison will tell ^-^
