So, Just saw the Officially released specs and video on engadget...

I can say it is not nearly as beautiful as my pimped out quickfire Rapid.

I mean come on, the Iphone only has 5 buttons compared to 87 on my rapid. ;D

I dropped my iPhone 4 on concrete from 4 feet up...no damage! And about 4-5 times total from 3-4 feet on to hard tile. No broken screens. So maybe I'm extremely lucky. I do have a chip of the side of one screen. Considering what it's been through, I'm proud of that chip...gives it character.

Carpet and tile destroyed it! Hell one time I pulled it out my pocket and it cracked.

I dropped mine from about the same height, back glass was completely shattered. I guess trying to catch the bus while messaging wasn't the best idea :D

I'll probably wait a year or so and buy a new-er iPhone off contact so I can keep my unlimited data plan and add LTE. Honestly though, I think the 4s is a great phone. Looking forward to "tasker" like features in iOS 6.

I've had a 4 for 2 years, contract is over. I'd be happy with a 4S today I think, and save a few bucks, but 2 years from now that technology will be restrictively old (3 years old), maybe even in only 1 year.

Starving people being shot at in this world and I think of my cell phone technology problems.....

Oh wait. I'm on the verge of being homeless and starving....

Just the 4. And I am noticing its getting Waayy slow. And the one button on the front sometimes needs two or three pushes to work!  But I've had it for two years now with no screen protector just a case and not a single scratch on it. I'm actually impressed with the glass on these things. Just don't drop it.

After one day of use the phone is quite nice it's quite a bit thinner and lighter in person then I thought it would be the longer screen makes the phone feel even slimmer then it already is. You don't feel like it got bigger in any way.

Functionality wise in the end it's a phone it's no different from the 4s is it worth the upgrade? I think the upgrade from 4 -> 4s was less significant then this.

Oh and FINALLY LTE, if I have to say one thing to get this for over the 4 or 4s is this.

iphone 5 has some things going for it:

-No more useless back glass to get cracked with too mean of a glare.
-Better processor.  Bigger screen.  Other such improvements.
-ifixit.com rates it as being exceptionally easier to fix than previous generations.  If the screen does break it isn't the end of the world.
-It gets positive attention from females at the bar.  :D

-My iphone 4 sometimes needs a couple presses of the home button...drives me nuts!
-My iphones battery is starting to get weak, and I do the occasional full discharge-recharge. (2 years old)
-Free pizza and beer? Ok, but absolutely NO farting!
-I get positive attention from females at the bar. Not nearly as much as before, but that's what happens when you're in your 40's. You lose about half of the girls. You lose the 20's but still have the 30's. Any others just don't count.

I can't believe the girls that are in their 20's that I notice in a positive fashion that I never would have given the time of day to in my 20's. Just a hint for you guys.

this is the best reason to buy an iphone 5 I've seen to date, it could almost justify the stupid price
